
Fostering Inclusion: Best Practices in Employment Support for Persons with Disabilities
2025-08-22 11:00On August 7, 2025, a delegation including He Changjiang, Deputy Director of the Shenyang Disabled Persons’ Federation, Guan Xuemei, Director of the Service Center, Han Zishuo, Deputy Director, and representatives from the Shenbei New District Disabled Persons’ Federation, visited Northeast Plastic Power Cable Co., Ltd. for an exchange and guidance visit regarding employment support for persons with disabilities. Yan Jipeng, General Manager of Northeast Plastic Power Cable Co., Ltd., and Ren Dongdong, Assistant to the General Manager, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.
During the discussion session, General Manager Yan Jipeng first provided an overview of the company’s general situation and its policies concerning the employment of persons with disabilities. Subsequently, the head of the Comprehensive Affairs Department delivered a thematic report detailing the specific measures and achievements in employing persons with disabilities in recent years. Key points included providing suitable job positions, a supportive working environment, skills training, and fair compensation. The report emphasized that the company always prioritizes the well-being of employees with disabilities and is committed to fostering a fair and respectful working environment that promotes both personal value and corporate development.
Following the discussion, under the guidance of General Manager Mr. Yan, the delegation conducted an onsite inspection of the production workshops and employee living areas. He Changjiang, Deputy Director of the Shenyang Disabled Persons’ Federation, spoke highly of the company’s efforts in supporting persons with disabilities. He noted that “employment is fundamental to people’s livelihoods,” and affirmed that the company’s practices fully reflect its sense of social responsibility, contributing positively to social harmony and stability.
During the inspection, Mr. Yan introduced Liu Jing, a storekeeper in the Cost Management Department who has a level 3 physical disability. Liu Jing shared, “I have worked in several companies before, but this company gives me the greatest sense of security. The leadership here is very caring, and I feel truly content working here.” The officials from the municipal and district federations were deeply moved and unanimously acknowledged the crucial role of corporate support and care for employees with disabilities. They recognized Northeast Plastic Power Cable Co., Ltd. as a positive example in promoting employment for persons with disabilities and expressed their intention to encourage more enterprises to learn from its experience and practices.
At the conclusion of the visit, the officials provided recommendations for further enhancing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
